Skin Brighteners or Bleaching, that’s what most people call it.One of the reasons why people bleach their skin, is because they want to look more appealing and attractive. Does our skin colour define who we are? Clearly some people think so, they go to such extremes where they bleach their skin and become "whiter" than white people so to say.

  
A South African Kwaito singer, Mshoza made headlines a couple of months ago, changing her skin colour from being an African Dark Beauty to "A white person" that's how she portrays herself now. In an interview with Saturday Star, she said "I don't really look pale at the moment, but yes when everything is done I will look like a white person. From head to toe. What message is she sending out to her fans, that one shouldn’t be comfortable in their own skin?

Some celebrities bleach their skin because they have money to throw around creams, For instance; Beyoncé Knowles, Lil Kim and Rihanna to mention a few. We look up to these celebrities yet they not happy with the way they look. I think it comes down to self-hate and having low self-esteem.
 I am proud of my colour anyone who is not proud is not fit to live. The colour of your skin does not define who you are in fact.....  YOU-BEAUTY-FULL in your own skin.

    Some people have this mentality that when you are light in complexion you are beutiful. yet we are all beutiful the way we are they just dont see it.
